Over the years, I’ve heard nothing but good things about Sedona and I’ve seen some great photos made in Sedona so I decided to take a quick scouting trip to see what I could see. I only had about 1.5 days there so didn’t get a chance to get out and about as much as I wanted, but I at least got a feel for the area.
I was a little upset that there were no clouds while I was there but I got a few decent photos. The below photo is one that I’ve always had in my head (small amount of light hitting a mountain / rock formation while everything else is in darkness or near darkness).
I hiked up Soldiers Pass Trail on the two days I was there. There’s some beautiful scenery up that trail (and all around Sedona).
Sedona is a beautiful area. Now that my scouting trip is taken care of, I’m planning a longer visit to take advantage of the beautiful red rocks.
